Sr Engagement Manager, Creative Higher Education
Role overview
Adobe is seeking a strategic leader with deep experience in the creative industries to drive adoption and long-term preference for Adobe creative and generative AI workflows across top design-focused higher education programs through faculty partnerships, curriculum integration, and industry workflow alignment.
What you’ll do
- Academic & Executive Relationships: Build relationships with design and film faculty, chairs, and deans and advise on curriculum modernization, generative AI adoption, and industry-aligned creative workflows.
- Design Workflow & Curriculum: Translate real-world and forward-facing workflows into course and assignment recommendations that you deliver to faculty.
- Generative AI Leadership: Guide responsible adoption of generative AI in higher ed programs and educate faculty and students on use cases, authorship, and ethical considerations.
- Adoption Programs: Develop and scale faculty programs, course pilots, portfolio initiatives, and industry-connected capstones that drive product adoption.
- Training Programs: enable and lead a team of training partners on top creative and AI workflows
- Market & Product Insight: Deliver structured insight on competitive tools, generative AI perception, and workflow gaps to influence Product, PMM, and GTM strategy.
- Community & Evangelist Ecosystem: Develop advocates across faculty, industry practitioners, and creative technologists to scale reach and impact of our platform through trusted voices and peer-led adoption.
- Cross-Discipline Account Strategy: Partner with Film, Video, and Motion evangelists to align institutional strategy, executive messaging, and cross-discipline creative workflow storytelling.
Who you are
- Workflow Authority: Deep credibility in professional design workflows, with knowledge of the film industry as a plus.
- Executive Influence: Proven ability to influence academic leadership and complex institutions.
- AI Leader: Practical and informed perspective on technology in creative production.
- Workflow Translator: Skilled at turning complex creative workflows into teachable, scalable models.
- Academic Experience: Experience teaching, lecturing, or developing curriculum in creative education.
- Community Building: Experience with pulling together a community of faculty members in digital or physical forums.
- Cross-Discipline Exposure: Experience working across various business and creative teams
- Project Management: Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution—defining scope, aligning teams, managing timelines and resources, and delivering high-impact outcomes in creative and academic environments.
- Credentials: 8+ years leading creative initiatives in industry and/or higher ed. Degree or equivalent experience in a creative or design-related field; background spanning creative fields
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $125,500 -- $226,700 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
