Sr Experience Design Manager
The opportunity
Are you passionate about working on mobile apps that affect a billion users across the world? Adobe Design is looking for an experienced design manager to lead a dedicated and motivated team of designers on crafting the next generation of Document Cloud mobile products (Acrobat Reader, Scan and Fill & Sign Apps). You will influence all aspects of the mobile experience including product and marketing touchpoints. With your help, we will become everyone’s desired apps for document creation, consumption, collaboration and e-signatures. We have AI/ML technologies enabling many experiences in these mobile apps, and we will continue unlock moments to delightful UI interactions through these enabling technologies. We are customer-obsessed and strive to create inviting, simple, and accessible experiences for the modern, connected world.
Working closely with Product and Engineering leads, you will provide strategic design direction to cross-functional teams. Your work will have high impact on a rapidly expanding segment who choose mobile first when consuming PDFs and e-signatures.
What you'll do
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and GTM to define the key objectives and identify the most impactful features to build
- Understand and help the teams understand analytical quantitative and user research qualitative data that impact experiences and user choices
- Lead and strengthen a team of world-class designers to craft compelling experiences for mobile use cases
- Build a successful, collaborative environment that encourages deep partnership with cross-functional teams and sets a high bar for design craft
- Own the design execution across monthly and quarterly product releases while ensuring that we ship at the highest design quality
- Shape the vision of how users engage on our platform by facilitating design sprints and articulating the design strategy to all team members
- Represent the team and often teams’ work to senior leadership and C-levels at Adobe.
- Champion for customer-centricity and good design choices across functions
What you need to succeed
- Experience turning complex problems into simple engaging customer experiences on mobile.
- A track record of success in people leadership and management that includes hiring, training, and developing designers ranging from junior talent to top-tier professionals.
- An empathetic and servant-leadership mindset that’s committed to fostering an inclusive and empowering environment for the designers to do innovative and impactful work
- Deep expertise in problem framing from customers’ point of view and solving problems through high design craft
- Ability to socialize new insights and ideas that’s grounded in deep understanding of user and business goals.
- Serve as a catalyst for the team to act for better outcomes
- Excellent written, oral, presentation and storytelling skills
- Embody both a learner’s and a mentor’s mentality
