The opportunity
Are you a seasoned design leader in India looking for the next step in your career? Adobe is hiring a Senior Director to lead Adobe Design in India. You will lead a cross-functional team of more than 100 practitioners who deliver extraordinary experiences for all of Adobe’s customers. You are an inspirational leader with deep connections to the design community in India, you are a coach and mentor who attracts top talent, and you are looking to take a world class design team to the next level.
As the site leader for Adobe Design in India, you will manage a team, and work hand in hand with design leaders from across the globe. In addition to operational management, you will provide regional oversight in India for the design team by hosting all hands, onboarding new team members, fostering internal community, building strong connections with the global design community, and attracting the best talent.
What you’ll do
- Run an organization of over 100 - design, research, prototyping, design systems, program managers, operations and AI/ML designers.
- Represent Adobe Design India in the design community.
- Participate in global design leadership meetings and design reviews.
- Own site-wide communications and ensure alignment with Adobe Design global VPs and design leaders.
- Collaborate with design leaders across the world to help them meet their goals. Guide your team’s ownership of a handful of strategic projects wholly out of India.
- Help our design team do the best work of their lives. Help our designers grow in their craft and their careers.
- Hire and retain great talent.
- Own the India track for our bi-annual Adobe Design summit, partnering heavily with the ops team in the US.
- Work with the ops team to build customized programs for the India Design org and build a phenomenal brand for Adobe Design in India.
- Identify and implement site-specific initiatives like improvements to onboarding, training, and learning programs.
- Foster a positive team environment and inspire passion.
- Create a culture of integrity, transparency, and innovation.
What you need to succeed
- 10+ years of equivalent experience of leading a large global design organization.
- Validated experience of working in a global design org and successfully collaborating with cross-functional leaders in design, research, and product.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A learner and mentor approach.
- Ability to influence varied internal partners including senior leadership.
- Ability to identify, recruit, develop, and inspire top talent.
- Passion for creating and leading diverse and inclusive teams.
