We're seeking a Staff Designer to play a key role in driving the strategy and execution of these innovation initiatives. This designer will be a forward-thinking leader who can find opportunities and slice them into clear, staggered launch points.
They’re a driven self-starter who also understands how to collaborate with other designers, engineers, and PMs throughout the design process. They’re enthusiastic about mentoring team members and find fulfillment in contributing to others’ growth.

What you’ll do
- Drive innovation: Be a key leader in defining, explaining, and driving key innovation initiatives. Create clear, staggered phases to build out long-term vision.
- Lead with design thinking: Approach problems from the user's perspective, solve challenges with design thinking, and communicate ideas with a well-informed rationale
- Mentor designers: Provide mentorship to other designers in their growth in design craft and business impact
- Facilitate collaboration: Facilitate workshops to drive strategic alignment and design refinement with cross-discipline collaborators and other designers
- Craft and share stories: Package work and ideas into compelling stories to create excitement around Design’s unique ability to deliver business impact and growth
- Design for scale: Account for the complexity of various user needs and product differences across Adobe’s enterprise offerings to deliver helpful, scalable experiences
- Champion design excellence: Influence and advocate user-centric design in product roadmap prioritization with product, engineering, and leadership teams
What you need to succeed
- Strategic influence: Drive innovation initiatives and garner enthusiasm for opportunities with engineering and product management to shift ideas into shipped work
- Systems and critical thinking: Excel at breaking down complex systems to identify cross-product opportunities and user-centered solutions
- Collaboration facilitation: Strong collaboration models and experience facilitating design thinking workshops, to align and collaborate with engineering, product, and design leadership
- Problem solving: Able to balance speed and rigor, pivot directions, and seek solutions in creative ways. Don’t shy away from diving into the details to drive tough decisions forward.
- Design excellence: Strong visual, interaction, and prototype design skills with keen attention to detail. To you, enterprise is never an excuse to compromise on design quality.
- Growth mindset: Stay curious, informed, and adaptable in the ever-changing landscape of AI and new technologies. Proactively seek opportunities to mentor and receive feedback.
- Excellent communicator: Excel in written, oral, and visual storytelling to drive team and business outcomes
- User research: Expertise in conducting discovery research to progress from problem framing to opportunity identification for innovation initiatives
- Experience: 8+ years in product design, interaction design, or a related field
Preferred Accessibility Design Skills:
- Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities.
- Understanding of applying WCAG conformance criteria in design, specifically testing comps, wireframes, and prototypes for accessibility standards.
- Accessibility certifications CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from the IAAP preferred.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $142,700 -- $265,400 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
