Staff Experience Designer, Adobe Express

Whether you're crafting social content, marketing materials, or making standout designs with AI tools, Express brings the power of Adobe to creators of all levels. The Express team is growing—and we’re looking for an experienced Staff Experience Designer to lead our strategy for imaging experiences across all Express surfaces.
Seeking a designer with a love for photo editing and strong systems thinking that can thrive in a fast-paced setting. This role is based in the Bay Area, with a hybrid work model.
What you’ll do
- Own and articulate the long-term vision for imaging across Adobe Express
- Lead initiatives to introduce AI-first workflows and imaging improvements within our suite of editors
- Drive clarity, design consistency, and product alignment—both within Express and across partner products
- Identify and craft user journeys that include image editing, from SEO entry points to home surfaces and in-editor tools
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, and engineering teams to deliver delightful, scalable solutions
What you’ll need to succeed
- A proven track record of aligning across teams and building shared design direction
- Experience working within design systems and contributing back to them
- Deep expertise in image editing workflows and tools, with a strong user empathy lens
- Ability to simplify and streamline complex workflows for everyday users
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills; capable of influencing partners and leadership
Bonus Points:
- Passion for democratizing creative tools through intuitive design
- Familiarity with SEO, user acquisition paths, and their design implications
- Experience mentoring or leading designers
Preferred Accessibility Design Skills:
- Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities.
- Understanding of applying WCAG conformance criteria in design, specifically testing comps, wireframes, and prototypes for accessibility standards.
- Accessibility certifications CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from the IAAP preferred.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $142,700 -- $265,400 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
