Sr Designer, Brand
The opportunity
The Adobe Design Brand team is a collaborative and creative multidisciplinary group that defines the visual brand system across all Adobe products. From product logos to illustrations, animations, and branded UX elements, we shape how Adobe products show up in the world. We work in pixels, but we also create books, posters, swag, and large-scale graphics. We believe in the strength of team critique and obsess over details and craft. We communicate our ideas to a wide range of audiences, both internally and externally to the company. This is big, broad, challenging, and fun work that is highly visible.
What you’ll do
- Craft the vision for the brand within Adobe’s products
- Concept and define the bonsai tree that is the Adobe product brand system: creating beautiful product logos and crafting delightful in-product illustrations and graphics; colors, defining branded components, rules, and hierarchy, etc.
- Design modern, engaging, and user-centric experiences that delight and have an impact
- Collaborate with product designers and managers, brand strategists, engineers, and other business partners throughout the product cycle, ensuring that the team’s work is implemented correctly inside products, presentations, and other experiences.
- Communicate your ideas and tell visual stories through motion, prototypes, and presentations.
- Lead and collaborate with other designers on the team as you partner to deliver on this vision
- Work on a variety of side projects including conference graphics, motion graphics and videos, presentations, posters, swag, books, and other printed materials.
- Be flexible. You will work on multiple projects simultaneously, with timelines ranging from a few days to a few months, through an iterative and high-velocity design practice.
What you need to succeed
- Excellent design, craf,t and aesthetic judgment; ability to convey design ideas via sketches, storyboards, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and animation
- Strong experience designing innovative and sophisticated solutions for brands and digital product design systems
- Collaborative attitude to finding creative solutions, working with teams globally
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience presenting work to executive partners or clients. Be organize
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity and lead early strategy, take initiative, and learn new skills
- Experience working with engineering and product designers to move designs through to production & shipping
- Proficient with Adobe’s creative products (Ae, Pr, Ps, Ai, etc. Experience using Figma)
- A degree in design is not required, but equivalent experience, an exceptional portfolio, and resume are
- A love of all things design
Preferred Accessibility Design Skills:
- Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities.
- Understanding of applying WCAG conformance criteria in design, specifically testing comps, wireframes, and prototypes for accessibility standards.
- Accessibility certifications CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from the IAAP preferred.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $117,000 -- $227,500 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
