Sr Product Design Manager, Document Cloud Mobile
The opportunity
Adobe Design is looking for an experienced design leader to join our Document Cloud team and help shape the future of work on mobile. In this role, you’ll lead design efforts across high-visibility initiatives, bringing together strategy, craft, and systems thinking to deliver thoughtful, high-quality experiences at scale. You’ll partner closely with product and engineering to create solutions that serve both individuals and organizations, helping millions of people create, collaborate, and get work done, wherever they are.
With more than 750 million monthly active users, Adobe Document Cloud products (which include Adobe Acrobat, Sign, and Scan, to name just a few) are ubiquitous in the lives and work of more than 600 million monthly active users. Document Cloud also remains the fastest-growing cloud in Adobe.
The Document Cloud design team has a long and rich legacy while still being recognized for innovation year after year. We were recognized for TIME’s Best Inventions of 2023 with our work in Liquid Mode. That legacy of visionary experiences continues with Acrobat's AI Assistant being named one of TIME's Best Inventions of 2024.
Your role
We are looking for a seasoned design leader with a proven track record of successfully managing distributed design teams focused on mobile and small-screen experiences. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and apply data-informed design thinking to guide your team in creating engaging, user-centered experiences that attract and retain users while strengthening the overall value of our product.
You bring strong business acumen and a demonstrated ability to drive high-quality outcomes through thoughtful design leadership and clear prioritization. You are action-oriented and results-driven, moving efficiently from concept to execution, grounding decisions in both qualitative and quantitative insights, and iterating quickly to improve impact.

You’re curious, adaptable, and eager to enable your team to explore and utilize emerging tools and practices to elevate craft, accelerate workflows, and unlock new value for users.
You take full ownership of your work, invest deeply in mentoring and developing others, and lead with an entrepreneurial spirit - embracing learning, experimentation, and thoughtful risk-taking, even when it means learning from failure.
In this role, you will:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of designers, fostering a culture of creativity, craftsmanship, and forward-thinking innovation across small-screen experiences.
- Drive user-centered design by guiding teams in leveraging both qualitative insights and quantitative data to shape workflows, inform product decisions, and fuel product-led growth.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and GTM teams to define strategic objectives, identify high-impact opportunities, and deliver meaningful user solutions.
- Cultivate a collaborative, high-trust environment that encourages deep cross-functional partnership and maintains a high bar for design excellence.
- Represent the design team with clarity and influence, effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders and senior leadership.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Experience and passion for turning complex problems into simple, engaging customer experiences, creating products that help people learn and enhance their creativity and productivity.
- 5+ years of people management and leadership experience with a track record of success in hiring, training, and developing designers ranging from junior talent to top-tier professionals.
- Strong user and business acumen to align design decisions with business goals.
- Agility and perpetual learning to navigate the fast-evolving terrains of technology.
- Experience working in large teams with many moving parts.
- Experience helping your team conduct research, present results, and develop plans to act on those results.
- Deep expertise in problem framing from the customers’ point of view and solving problems through high design craft.
- A consistent track record of launching products that delight, innovate, and scale.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to evaluate, adopt, and scale AI-powered tools within design teams, driving improvements in speed, quality, and collaboration while upskilling others.
Preferred Accessibility Design Skills:
- Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities.
- Understanding of applying WCAG conformance criteria in design, specifically testing comps, wireframes, and prototypes for accessibility standards.
- Accessibility certifications CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from the IAAP are preferred.
