Director, Design Operations

Are you interested in helping lead design in the world's leading design company? Adobe is seeking a Director of Design Operations to partner with the centralized design organization and its leadership team to complete strategic objectives. You will be a key partner to the Vice President of Adobe Design!
The individual will operationalize the running of the Adobe Design organization as a business including completing critical initiatives, focusing on aligning and enabling teams to efficiently scale the business and deliver customer value. This individual will define and run programs that incorporate standard methodologies and the highest degree of operational rigor, while closely partnering with senior leaders across Adobe. This is a highly influential role across the organization and requires someone with a true passion for business strategy and operations, flawless execution of strategic objectives, and delivering the best experiences for users.
What you’ll do
Lead organizational planning initiatives, such as:
- Partner closely with the VP of Enterprise Design as a trusted advisor and thought partner (Chief of Staff), to craft the design strategy, vision and operational excellence within Digital Experience (DX) design org
- Work the senior leaders to identify forward-thinking initiatives to grow the business
- Develop strategic and user-centric product development frameworks in partnership with Design, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Corporate Strategy teams
- Annual Plan: Lead the quarter and annual business planning process that culminates in a presentation to Adobe's Executive Staff. This involves working closely with the Product, Engineering, GTM, and other key partners on the Strategic and Operating teams
- Coordinate operational execution of any M&A projects in the group
- Be a leader with vision to help advance Adobe Design’s Business strategy globally and challenge others in the organization to change. Amplify the voice of Design!
- Grow and lead a group of program managers to successfully achieve product and user goals while building a best-in-class team that attracts the best, develops employees, and has an inclusive, winning culture
- Partner with Design Managers and Sr/Directors to complete and streamline portfolio and resource planning
What you need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience leading and scaling operations for critical business units in SaaS or Digital environments
- Experience understanding the needs of business and end customers and translating them into the right solutions
- Experience working with creative teams, including collaborating with designers, content strategists, researchers, prototypers, engineers, and product management.
- Passion for user experience and design with an understanding of the design process
- Consistent track record of applying creative thinking and analysis to tackle business needs in ambiguous environments. Must have experience implementing operational rigor and programs across organizations
- Lead logically and predictably, with a high degree of drive towards action and outcomes
- Communication – Work with a variety of people/personalities; respectfully hold people accountable. Frame business challenges for executive consumption
- Organized, structured, systems thinker who can translate symptoms into root causes and identify appropriate, scalable solutions
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, environment where you must take on multiple responsibilities and do what it takes to get things done
- Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members
- Experience building and fostering a robust, collaborative, inclusive team environment
