Overview:

Adobe Design is seeking a Sr. Experience Designer to join our Document Cloud design team.

As part of this team, you will help us revolutionize the way users create, edit, manipulate, sign, and share documents. Using clarity and simplicity as a foundation, you will help us unite products and services across desktop, mobile, and web interfaces. You will help us to explore the future of what it means to interact with a “document”. And, most importantly, you will help us bring delightful experiences to everyday people doing everyday work.

Responsibilities:

  • Create user experience goals, priorities, and deliverables that align with product milestones, coordinate multiple projects to completion, and drive adoption of user experience practices.
  • Proactively engage with multiple project stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and other designers in drafting & brainstorming initial concepts.
  • Work closely with designers to define visual language and UX patterns.
  • Convey design ideas via sketches, storyboards, hi-fidelity mockups, prototypes, or animations.
  • Create iterative designs that meet product objectives, fit within Adobe Design guidelines, and respond to feedback and usability testing.
  • Conduct primary and/or secondary research, as well as quick rounds of usability tests.
  • Work across a wide range of projects, technologies, and devices.
  • Support development teams throughout the implementation cycle.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of design industry experience.
  • BA/BFA degree in HCI or design related field, with an emphasis on user experience, interaction design, or visual design.
  • A passionate experience designer—a subject-matter expert—with a proven track record of great designs and strategy that meet user needs, product requirements, and business goals.
  • Experience creating innovative digital interface design solutions for mobile, web, and/or desktop applications.
  • Ability to grasp the essence of complex design problems, user pain points, research findings, and translate them to practical design solutions.
  • Ability to proficiently facilitate brainstorming sessions, cultivate the creative thinking process, create compelling presentation decks or videos, and present articulate concept pitches.
  • Ability to accept and design against feedback from colleagues in a rapid iterative design process, and effectively produce multiple highly polished and professional finished works under tight timeline.
  • Proficient in fundamental visual & interaction design principles.
  • Skilled in Adobe products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Experience Design, After Effects or similar tools.
  • Skilled in building prototypes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript or other tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a loosely defined agile and lean design environment.
