Overview

Adobe Design is seeking a design leader to join our team in our beautiful open office space in San Francisco’s thriving SOMA district.

Our design team is responsible for the product design of Photoshop and the extended family of Photoshop applications. We work closely with business, marketing, engineering, and research to deeply understand customer needs and deliver the industry standard in creative digital imaging.

From the small details to big-picture feature concepts and long-term strategy, our work is put to the test by millions of customers across a variety of fields and experience levels every single day. This is your chance to define creative tools for creative people, just like you.

The Role

We’re seeking a designer who thinks holistically and uses modern tools to evaluate concepts quickly. One who favors interactive prototypes over flat mockups, and is willing to engage in both exploration of concepts and refinement of details. One with an inquisitive personality and the dream to explore patterns that scale across input modalities from mouse, pen, keyboard, touch and on into VR/AR.

In this role, you will:

  • Have meaningful ownership. You’ll contribute to important decisions about the way our product(s) look, feel, and behave.
  • Bring design to life. We value all types of prototyping.
  • Advocate for the customer.
  • Grow. You’ll sharpen your skills in this role, and learn how to take ownership of important aspects of the design.
  • Collaborate. You’ll be part of a very communicative, healthy, product development family whose diversity of thought brings breadth to our ideas and clarity to our refinement.
  • Ship. We ship. You’ll have multiple opportunities to bring the hypothetical to the actual and enjoy seeing your work in the hands of millions.

Requirements

  • Junior or senior in a college degree program, preferably in design with an emphasis on graphic design, HCI, or related design field
  • Awareness of how visual design languages and UI frameworks affect the design process
  • Strong social, written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to contribute to the creative spirit of the Design team and company
  • Love of all things design

To be considered for this role please submit a resume and portfolio with examples of process and evolution of your work.
