Adobe Design is seeking a Senior Experience Designer to work on search across all Adobe products. This team is focused on helping people around the world work more collaboratively, expressively and efficiently. We are bringing powerful search technology directly into our tools, allowing any person to quickly access anything they’ve ever created, plus the entire world of content from Adobe.

We are seeking a holistic designer. One who identifies user needs and focuses on them with a passion. Our newest team member will have a keen business sense, with the ability to put forth design ideas that blossom into beautifully designed products with high utility.

Adobe Design works directly with executives, product managers and engineering leadership to bring great products to life. We are co-located and work together in person every day to make the best products possible. This position is in San Francisco, California at Adobe’s historic Baker & Hamilton building.

Responsibilities:

  • Help define user experience patterns for search across all adobe products
  • Create user experience goals, priorities, and deliverables that align with product milestones, coordinate multiple projects to completion, and drive adoption of user experience practices
  • Quickly visualize and prototype ideas to communicate concepts
  • Construct beautiful, functional interface designs that work in concert with platform technologies
  • Create user experience goals, priorities, and deliverables that align with product milestones
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and other designers to bring concepts to reality at every stage of development
  • Convey design ideas via sketches, storyboards, hi-fidelity mockups, prototypes, or animations
  • Support development teams throughout the implementation cycle
  • Participate in peer design critiques to give and receive critique

Requirements:

  • A passionate experience designer—a subject-matter expert—with a proven track record of great designs and strategy that meet user needs, product requirements, and business goals
  • College degree or applicable experience in design with an emphasis on graphic design, HCI, or related design field
  • At least 5 years of design industry experience
  • A proven track record of launched products that delight, innovate and scale
  • Ability to grasp the essence of complex design problems, user pain points, research findings, and translate them to practical design solutions.
  • Ability to proficiently facilitate brainstorming sessions, cultivate the creative thinking process, create compelling presentation decks or videos, and present articulate concept pitches
  • Ability to accept and design against feedback from colleagues in a rapid iterative design process, and effectively produce multiple highly polished and professional finished works under tight timeline
  • Proficient in fundamental visual & interaction design principles
  • Mastery of a few Professional Design tools, such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Experience Design, Keynote, Invision, Sketch etc.
  • Skilled in building prototypes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript or other tools is a plus, but not must
  • Experience with prototyping and user research
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a loosely defined agile and lean design environment
  • Willingness and ability to contribute to the creative spirit of the Experience Design team and of the company
  • Love of all things design
