Overview

Adobe Design is seeking a Creative Technologist to join our growing Prototyping team. This person will help us shape the future of creative tools for emerging technologies mainly focused around the 3D space. We are looking for someone who has the ability to quickly prototype and iterate in collaboration with others with a real passion for future technologies. You will work in a highly agile, passionate, and fun environment part of the larger Design organization collaborating with Adobe Research and Product teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with UX Designers and User Researchers to create state of the art experiences for real-time 3D authoring with an emphasis on usability and a solid understanding of use-cases and user flows
  • Research and prototype emerging ideas and technologies, and understand how to apply to our current or future products
  • Translate complex ideas into elegant, intuitive working prototypes
  • Build native mobile and desktop applications for iOS, macOS and Windows platforms
  • Explore new design concepts for cutting edge hardware and platforms

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or MS in Computer Science or Interaction Design
  • 7+ years professional coding experience
  • Comfortable with 3D math and graphics algorithms
  • Experience with real-time computer graphics and GPU pipelines
  • A passion for high-quality, detail-focused user experiences and design
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and tasks
  • Proficiency in C-based programming languages (C, C++ or Objective-C)
  • Proficiency with native interface development for platforms such as iOS, macOS and Windows.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on a variety of projects
  • Creative and analytical skills to facilitate research, synthesize and communicate insights that inspire design opportunities.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience reading and implementing graphics or machine learning research papers
  • Experience with connected hardware using Bluetooth 4.0 or similar technologies
  • Prior AR / VR development experience
