Overview

Adobe Design is seeking a Program Manager to lead programs and multiple projects within the Adobe Design Organization. You will work with the Adobe Stock team to revolutionize the way users access photography, templates, video, and design assets. We are looking for a strong individual work across various product teams to understand, communicate, and lead the delivery of design and customer experiences.

You are an advocate for design-led innovation, will understand the role design plays in multiple product development methodologies and apply that knowledge in the creation and negotiation of evolving design engagement models.

Primary responsibilities include guiding process at a team level, and managing high-impact projects across a multi-functional group of designers and business partners. You’ll be responsible for design operations, including calendar, design tools, and resource allocation to ensure timelines and business objectives are met. In partnership with design leadership, you’ll shepherd the seasonal workload and process, build and maintain positive relationships with the product and marketing teams, and provide experiences and guidance that maintains the highest level of competency among designers. This requires experience communicating across audiences, effectively defining and utilizing escalation paths, and updating executive partners.

Adobe Design is Adobe’s in-house team that works directly with executives, product managers and engineering leadership to bring great products to life. We are co-located and work together in person to make the best products possible. This position is in San Francisco, California.

Responsibilities:

  • Working directly with designers, researchers, and prototypers to optimize the workflow of each project.
  • Building engagement models with a wide range of cross functional teams, balancing multiple inputs of priorities and needs, and bringing together requirements and goals.
  • Prioritizing multiple design and development efforts with various dependencies.
  • Crafting and managing schedules, and leading tasks to completion.
  • Updating project documentation and communicating program status and risks and with various partners across the company.
  • Ensuring regular and effective communication happens with team members and cross-functional resources.
  • Partnering with Design Management to come up with scalable and flexible process frameworks.
  • Acting as a design process champion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of applicable experience in a technology environment.
  • Demonstrated delivery of large-scale programs and projects.
  • Real passion for user experience and design with an understanding of design process.
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills and the ability to manage in an environment of ambiguity with a diverse range of partners.
  • Understanding of a variety project management approaches, including standard SDLC and PM methodologies.
