What you’ll be working on

If you are looking to be the bridge between cross-functional teams, champion extensible design across multiple organizations, work with beautiful creative content, and champion user experience vision while still getting into the pixels, this challenge is for you. The designer in this role will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with Product Management, Marketing, and Content Acquisition to design the future of our marketplace across the ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Quickly visualize and prototype ideas to communicate concepts while using and extending a design system
  • Contribute to product strategy and roadmaps through user research and design explorations
  • Collaborate across multiple teams adapting to various processes and work/communication styles
  • Construct beautiful, functional interface designs that work in concert with platform technologies
  • Create goals, priorities, and deliverables that align with product team objectives, oversee multiple projects to completion, and drive adoption of user experience practices
  • Pair strong communication skills with user-centered thinking in order to influence and persuade
  • Assess and optimize new and existing features by actively participating in user research
  • Contribute to initiatives with multiple partners, including product managers, a team of content managers, engineers, product marketing managers, and other designers to bring concepts to reality at every stage of development
  • Convey design ideas via sketches, storyboards, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, or animations
  • Manage all stages of your projects, from vision to implementation and all the tiny details of design QA during development
  • Support development teams throughout the implementation cycle
  • Participate in peer design critiques to give and receive feedback

What you’ll bring to the team

Must-Haves:

  • College degree or applicable experience in design with an emphasis on graphic design, HCI, or related design field
  • Mastery of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, XD and other design tools such as Keynote or Sketch
  • Ability to build functional prototypes to test with users
  • Experience working iteratively with an agile engineering team
  • Ability to work in a cross functional team and synthesize input/feedback from multiple partners
  • Very strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to contribute to the creative spirit of the Adobe Design team
  • A real passion for collaborating across many disciplines
