Introduction

Are you attracted to huge, abstract problems? Do you champion the user and human factors in everything you do? Can you jump from strategic thinking to tactical implementation with grace? Adobe’s Design Strategy team is looking for a strategist to help tackle big strategic challenges, ideate solutions, and articulate outcomes that will drive improved product and service experiences. We’ll do outstanding things together.

What you’ll be working on

  • You’ll help design and implement discovery processes to better understand our opportunities or challenges from multiple perspectives (i.e. user perspective, business perspective, technological perspectives, futurist perspective, etc).
  • You’ll synthesize insights into cases that will help leaders align on the problem we should solve for.
  • You’ll craft and facilitate solutions for experiences for our internal partners and model the projected impact of that solution across relevant business metrics.
  • You’ll use ideation and storytelling strengths to make compelling presentations and land strategic recommendations.
  • You’ll design tools, templates, and produce project artifacts.
  • You’ll support the development and refinement of our own methodology (FivePeak); driving internal awareness of our practice and fostering adoption of the approach.
  • You’ll manage project content, cadences, and communications, ensuring a high-quality experience for our working team partners, sponsors, and stakeholders.

What you’ll bring to the team

Must-Haves:

  • 3-4 years experience in strategy consulting, innovation, design research, product design, or equivalent.
  • Proven impact applying design strategy methodologies to produce successful outcomes from discovery through to implementation
  • Demonstrated history of taking initiative, and getting things done at the appropriate level of polish against tight timelines.
  • Knowledge and experience across a range of design approaches and research methodologies (e.g. product design, service design, systems thinking, UX, etc)
  • A history of grasping complex problems, evaluating user needs, and synthesizing actionable recommendations
  • Executive presence, presentation, and facilitation strengths
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence and resourcefulness when faced with an unclear path
  • Experience building something from the ground up and shipping it (e.g. a program, an app, an organization, an event series, a small business, etc)

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with Adobe’s Creative Cloud, Experience Cloud and/or Document Cloud
  • Experience crafting and testing proof-of-concepts directly with customers
  • Proficiency in interaction and experience design principles
  • Strong visual design skills in Keynote, Illustrator, XD or InDesign
  • Exposure to large-scale enterprise challenges

How to Apply

To be considered for this role, please submit your resume and portfolio for consideration. We’d especially like to see strong examples of user discovery and validation, idea generation, strategic recommendations, and any hobbies or side hustles you are passionate about.
