Spectrum, Adobe’s design system, is shared primarily(publicly and internally) via a website. This website has grown over time and now contains an extensive documentation(e.g., color, typography, motion, components, patterns, inclusive design, international design, etc.)

What you’ll be working on

As the website grows, it becomes more cumbersome for Spectrum users(designers and engineers) to read all the documentation and absorb its finest details. The solution would be to start incorporating short videos throughout the website to explain fundamental parts of Spectrum(e.g., color system, typography system, inclusive design standards and best practices, etc.) in order to simplify the written content.

What you’ll bring to the team

We’re looking for a video animator/motionographer who can:

  • Learn the ins-and-outs of Adobe’s design system(Spectrum).
  • Storyboard animations and create visualizations communicating design choices.
  • Work alongside the design team to learn how to best communicate.
  • Develop an animation style for Spectrum’s video content.
  • Research and understand colors, typography, accessibility standards.
  • Create videos that will be added to the official Spectrum site.

Areas of interest:

  • Video animation
  • UX Design
  • Interest in color, typography, and accessibility standards

How to Apply

To be considered for this role you must submit a resume and portfolio.
