Do you love the words “systems” and “process” because to you they mean “making everything better at scale?” Adobe Design Research and Strategy team is currently seeking a Program Manager, Research Operations to join our fast-growing team as a contractor. In this position, you’ll partner with researchers across multiple product areas to strategize and execute recruiting for research projects in the enterprise and b-2-b spaces. You will be responsible for crafting, implementing, and leading the operational processes for our team’s participant management systems and delivery. We are looking for someone who has proven ability to influence and manage change including engaging with key partners and allocating resources and systems so research can be conducted efficiently. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of Adobe’s enterprise research strategy and develop creative solutions and processes in close partnership with research leadership!

What you’ll do

  • Establish relationships with our partners in Product Management, Customer Support, Sales, Marketing, and Strategic Partnership teams to establish new participant sourcing channels.
  • Identify and source participants who are a fit for research activities
  • Develop recruiting strategies and execute against them
  • Provide participant scheduling and coordination support for researchers
  • Build out a participant panel and develop strategies for maintaining panel health (i.e., develop new recruiting channels, mechanisms, and best practices; supervise panel composition and recommend strategic recruits based on upcoming projects or gaps identified; closely monitor panel engagement levels for purge and refresh efforts)
  • Develop and bring to bear repeatable tools, templates, process documentation, and communication plans for various programs and efforts.
  • Clearly identify, explain, and communicate progress, status, expectations, dependencies, and risks to various audiences while managing overall risks for projects, driving commitments to schedule and quality.

What you need to succeed

  • BA or equivalent experience of at least 2 years in a customer-facing role, research/UX operations, or project management capacity
  • Knowledge about the legal and ethical guidelines of working with user research participants and the data collected
  • Have developed or improved research processes or systems and worked with internal partners such as legal, finance, and IT.
  • Sophisticated relationship-building skills that can promote collaboration with other teams from Legal, Privacy & Security, Procurement, Marketing, Community Operations, etc.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and use them to effectively roll out large scale programs.
  • Enjoy working closely with researchers and designers, and have familiarity with product development and research methods in the digital space.
  • Experience concurrently coordinating multiple fast paced projects of varying levels of complexity and follow-through
  • Identified metrics and measured success and impact of research operations


  • Design system experience and ability to bring Engineers and Product Managers along
  • Experience working with enterprise software in a product design role
  • Comfortable working with remote teams overseas and international teams
  • Experience pivoting and navigating dynamic and changing situations
  • A proven track record of delivering excellent experiences that meet user needs, product requirements, and strategic business objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly articulate a problem space, sometimes in various ways to meet the needs of different
  • Strong conceptualization and visual communication abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to balance multiple work streams

Note: It’s not required that any single person would have expertise across all of these areas—we’re looking for people that are particularly strong in at least one area, and have capabilities and interest in the others.
