The opportunity

We are seeking a multifaceted designer to contribute to Adobe Spark’s education offering through the overseeing and creation of highly usable and stunning education templates.

With your background in education and design you know how to create instructional content with compelling imagery, illustration, grids, and voice and tone that speak towards education needs K-12. You will inspire the next generation of communicators by putting design and education best practices in their hands through the creation of inspiring templates and starting points, so they can accomplish their goals in learning.

What you’ll do

  • Drive design velocity, standards and creation of education templates
  • Partner with content and EDU teams and product teams to ideate unique ways of bringing additional value to education content • Work at a fast speed effectively, delivering high-quality design output under timing constraints.

What you need to succeed

  • 2 - 5+ years experience as a visual designer for advertising, packaging, editorial print, or product design. Education content experience preferred.
  • An understanding of educational usability trends as they relate to content-first experiences
  • An obsession with typography, grids and graphic design as a practice A keen-eye for compelling design patterns, imagery and trends that relate to education materials
  • Ability to illustrate stories or themes in a simple, effective style in-line with content best practices and legal standards
  • A self-driven approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, desire to partner with teammates in the office, experience with agile/lean processes
  • Experience with art direction, project management, leading teams and working with vendors a plus.
  • BA/BS or above in a design-related field, or comparable work experience
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A good sense of humor!
