The opportunity

Do you want to help build the next creative community at Adobe?

We’re looking for a Senior Designer to join Adobe Design and help drive the evolution of our community experience for Creative Cloud users. As we continue to build a world-class support community, we are eager to find a talented and experienced design leader to develop and execute a strategy focused on evolving our community from support to one of interest-based engagement and inspiration.

We’re building a place where people can get answers to questions, connect with one another, and get inspired to create. This will be a key destination for our customers, as well as an important service allowing users to experience the benefits of community wherever they are in our Creative Cloud ecosystem.

As a candidate, you will have a deep understanding of community engagement principles and have demonstrated a track record of designing and shipping products not only that you’re proud of, but have a proven purpose and need. You empathize with users, actively seek feedback, and embrace collaboration in the design process. Design is at the forefront of everything we do. You’ll be a part of enabling others to share that love. Adobe Design works directly with executives, product managers and engineering leadership to bring great products to life. While we are working remotely during the pandemic, we work closely every day to make the best products possible. This position is based in New York City or San Francisco, California.

What you’ll do

  • Approach problems holistically. Be an influential design leader, helping your cross-functional peers define strategy, requirements, and experiments to optimize multiple touchpoints of the funnel (SEO, targeted landing pages, on-boarding, communications, signed in/out workflows, etc.).
  • Imbue empathy - Uncover opportunities to decrease friction and enable new pathways by talking to and listening to users about their frustrations and goals.
  • Drive results. As a Senior Designer, you will work closely with Creative Cloud leadership, cross- functional leads, and manage design to meet/exceed KPI’s. You will partner with design and product leadership to define strategy and also get your hands dirty creating final designs to ship.
  • Collaborate like mad. Identify synergies and opportunities for optimized end-to-end experiences across workflows, channels, devices, and segments. Partner with the product, content and marketing teams to drive best in class experiences.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • A degree in a design-related field (HCI, interaction, visual), or comparable work experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in agency, start-up, or established consumer-facing software organization
  • Capable of balancing a growth hacking mindset, ambiguity, and design quality standards
  • Strength in both interaction and visual design with an ability to prototype designs in lo-fidelity, quickly sketch rough, strategic concepts, and produce hi-fidelity designs.
  • Have creative and analytical skills to facilitate research, synthesize and communicate findings into insights and opportunity areas that inform and inspire design
  • A desire to go beyond pixels: You do whatever it takes to make a product successful. You’re curious about how business, social, technical and behavioral factors impact the UX across customer’s journey inside and outside the product UX.
  • The ability to articulate design decisions and the problems they solve persuasively and concisely to all functions of the organization, including executives
  • Excellent communicator and team player, able to connect with others and inspire action and produce results that exceed our organizational goals and delight our users.
