The Learn and First Mile team is looking for someone with deep knowledge of photo editing, creative effects, and compositing to craft learning experiences for Photoshop and Lightroom. Creatives around the world learn how to use Adobe products through instructional videos, images, and sample files. Adobe is going beyond these traditional learning methods by integrating next-generation learning directly into their desktop, mobile, and web products. We are looking for a strategic and holistic thinker to drive the development of inspiring orientation and instructional content, primarily for Photoshop. What you’ll be working on

  • Designing forward-thinking experiences that help people learn how to use Photoshop and Lightroom while also teaching fundamental design skills Developing orientation and instructional content in collaboration with industry-leading instructors, content strategists, and the Photoshop and Lightroom product teams Creating and documenting a scalable visual design system for Photoshop learn content motivated by users’ needs, research insights, and business objectives Sharing guidelines and best practices with partner teams and external creative vendors Working with research teams to understand how creatives adopt new tools and build skills, evolving your approach to content based on these insights Motivating people to keep growing and exploring by developing rewarding, inspiring, and play-filled instruction Producing content down to the last detail yourself, as well as art directing vendor partners

What you’ll bring to the team


  • A passion for design and a 5-plus-year track record of strategic problem-solving that meets user needs, product requirements, and business objectives
  • An outstanding visual design portfolio
  • Ability to address complex design problems with practical design solutions
  • BA/BFA in a design- or photography-related field or applicable work experience and proven skills in visual design
  • Skilled in Adobe’s Creative Suite products with expertise in Photoshop
  • Experience directing and supervising vendor partners, including photographers, motion designers, and production artists
  • Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills, along with presentation skills
  • Openness and ability to act on design feedback from colleagues in a rapid iterative design process, and effectively produce highly polished and professional work in tight time frames
  • Adeptness at solving problems with a team
  • A penchant for details and organization, including the ability to prioritize tasks, communicate progress, and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to contribute to the creative, collaborative spirit of our team, the Experience Design organization, and the company

Nice to haves

  • Experience designing content that demonstrates product functionality and value
  • Passion for photography, including shooting, photo editing, and compositing
  • Deep photography domain knowledge
  • Background in design for educational platforms
